If asked what his ultimate career goal is, Gary Thomas always replies, “To die known as one of the hardest working men in show biz!” Gary is a singer/songwriter, actor and entertainment host. Leaving his Cleveland, OH roots behind, he relocated to Los Angeles early 2014 to hone several of his God-given gifts. Although he initially broke into the LA entertainment scene hosting red carpets and celebrity interviews, Gary found his way back to his first love – music. Gary Thomas is an all around entertainer.
Music first captured Gary’s heart at an early age; and he truly embraced his love by joining the church choir as a child. Attributing to his love for music, he vividly remembers the energy of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s- themed radio stations his stepfather blasted through the house. In attempts to return the ‘music sharing’ favor, he would often serenade (some may say annoy) family members. He added some new school to his old school musical roots by singing 90’s R&B tunes such as Usher & Jon B. Gary didn’t stop there; soon after, he joined the schools show and a’capella choirs. Gary also starred in several musical theater plays such as The Wiz and Little Shop of Horrors. It was his high school music teacher that really pushed him to train his voice classically and refine his stage presence. In college, Gary not only trained as a vocalist, but he also took jazz, tap, and modern dance classes – graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts.
In his growing years as a musician, Gary experimented with writing and recording several different genres of music. While searching to define his voice, Gary found a home in pop music.
As fans and listeners follow Gary Thomas as an artist, they will experience his truth in love, heartbreak, life and fun!
